Saw it. Pinned it. Did it. ~DIY Fall Wreath

This is the first time I have participated in this link up with Beautiful Mess I have made countless things and redecorated almost everything in my house thanks to pinterest. This is one of the more recent DIY crafts.
Original Pin:

Last week while shopping with my sister and cousin, we randomly decided to make Fall Wreaths. I knew that I had pinned a wreath recently so I quickly brought it up on my handy dandy pinterest app. ;) I didn't really need the pin for a tutorial, I'm no newbie to making wreaths, but I wanted it for the basic idea.
So we headed over to the Hobs Lobs (Hobby Lobby) and miraculously found everything we needed on sale! And for the few things that weren't we used our 40% off coupon!!! (Every time I say the word coupon, in my head I am secretly saying it Honey Boo Boo style.)

Here's what you will need: straw wreath ( I like the medium size but this is totally up to you!), floral pins (this is for securing the yarn or ribbon, and all the items that are too heavy to hot glue to the wreath), hot glue gun, yarn (for a medium size wreath it almost took an entire thing of yarn, so get an extra just to be sure), miscellaneous items to put on your wreath for decor (I got an over sized wooden letter and some fall decorations).
Total cost per wreath: $15

**I didn't take a whole lot of pictures of this craft night. Forgive me.**

TAAAAAAAAAAAAAADAAAAAAAAA!

Is this not adorable?

Happy Crafting Y'all!

What I'm loving Wednesday..

Linking up again with Jamie for...

10. I am loving the fact that Justin Bieber was on The Ellen Show yesterday. Yes I admit it, I'm 24 and I love JB! (Not in a sick way..)  I can't help it, his music just gets stuck in my head. He has such an amazing story and it makes me smile to watch how far he has come in such a short time. I will be going to his concert next time he is in ATL. Go ahead and make fun of me... IDC!
Seriously this kid has talent!

9. Speaking of Ellen, let me just say I love her. I love her show. She is hilarious and I have the up most respect for her. She is so kind and I love how she views the world in rainbow tinted glasses.

8. I am loving a new blog that I found last week. Tatiana @ "Living Life and Loving It" has started a weekly segment called Her Story. Basically sharing the life of a fellow blogger for a day. The posts are always so inspirational and keep me bawling my eyes out.

7. I am loving that I am off with my sweet hubby again this Wednesday.

6. I am loving my latest t.v obsession... Dexter. Everyone is always talking about it so I borrowed the first season from a friend. LOOOOOVE IT!

5. I am loving that I am starting Twilight (for the 10th time) this week. Its a tradition now for me to re-read all of the books before a new movie comes out. Before you think I'm just another twihard freak just listen: I have been reading the books since there was only the first one. I waited until each of them came out and patiently waited for the movies. I do not like the movies even a fraction of how much I love the books. However it is nice to see everything you've been seeing in your head for years come to life. > I am also loving that we are buying our midnight release tickets today!

4. I am loving the beautiful fall weather we have been having here this week. I love colder weather. I absolutely hate being hot. My perfect world would be 5 months of fall, 1 month of cold, snowy winter (although in this perfect world I would like the people in the south to know how to drive in it. And for the whole world not to shut down when it happens), 5 months of spring and 1 month of hot summer.

3.I am loving my new favorite place to DE-stress.. Mug me. (a place you can go to paint random objects. cups, bowls, plates, almost anything you can think of.) I know I have talked about it before but I went again on Monday with my friends Glory and Nay and we just had a blast. It is such a great way to deal with the stress of life. It also gives you a chance to be creative. I'll dedicate a post to it soon.

2. I am loving this quote I found on Pinterest..

1. The number 1 thing I am loving today (and this entire week) is that the BAMA/LSU game is this Saturday! The very first #1 and #2 regular season match-up in SEC history! It is going to be an amazing game. I'm not going to talk smack because I don't want to jinx my team. I also don't for a second believe that it will be a shutout by either team. But I will leave you with this...

Red Lobster Garlic Rolls..

Tonight we had some of our friends over for dinner. Patrick grilled steaks, hotdogs and veggies while Chelsea and I made homemade mashed potato's and cheesy garlic rolls (yes.. the Red Lobster kind). I found the recipe on pinterest. The rolls were amazing so I thought I would share the recipe..

Prep time 10 min
Cook time 20 min
Ingredients:
1 pack bisquick
1 1/2cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp oregano
3/4 tsp garlic salt

1. Preheat the oven to 400.

2. Put biscuit mix, cheese and milk in a bowl and mix well.
It should form a doughy mixture.
 3. Using a spoon (or ice cream scoop) drop lumps of dough on to a greased cookie sheet.
Space them out about 1 1/2 inches apart.
4. Bake for 10 min.

5. While they are baking, melt the butter, add the oregano and garlic salt.

6. After the biscuits are done pour the butter mixture over the biscuits and put them back in the oven for 5 min.

7. After 5 min, turn the oven down to 350 and bake for 5 more min.

Makes 12 rolls. Enjoy! :)

Up-dos, Estate Sales and Mason Jars..

is what my weekend consisted of. September-October is the return of wedding season, so usually my Saturdays are filled with brides and formal styles. This weekend was no exception. Saturday Abbie (co-worker) and I traveled to Cleveland (about 20 miles north of Dahlonega) for a wedding party of 9 women.

Kellum Valley Farms

The beautiful (and excited) bride Amanda.

Sunday mom and I woke up bright and early to return to an Estate Sale I had been to Friday morning. Sundays are usually mark down day for Yard and Estate Sales. There was a roll top desk I had my eye and mind on that I saw Friday. We got there at 9 am when they opened and I immediately searched for the desk. It was there so I quickly made my offer of 50% less than the asking price.. And they accepted! No sooner than had they accepted did 2 women come up extremely upset that they had not been there first to buy the desk!
My new favorite antique piece!

You can find some amazing deals at Estate Sales. We were able to fill boxes with all the items we wanted and then pay one small lump sum for everything. They are so desperate to empty the house by closing time on the last day you can really get a "steal"! We came home with 2 boxes of amazing pots and pans, cast iron skillets and silverware.

Another project I've been working on a while is a mason jar chandelier. I saw one on Pinterest and fell in love with it. I've been going to Antique Stores and searching for pieces worthy of my chandelier. I finally found 3 Ball Blue Mason Jars with zinc lids and quickly bought them up. I found a case of vintage mason jars at a yard sale that were perfect for this project. After a trip to my local Home Depot I was ready to start working on the chandelier. Luckily my good friend Rodney (affectionately known as RDP: his initials by his family and friends) is an electrician. I have to admit all I did to contribute to this project was buy the materials and poke holes in the mason jar lids. Without RDP this project would not have ever been completed.
My vintage mason jar collection..

The tools..

Thank God for electricians..

Finished :)
Absolute Perfection.

Hope Y'all had a great weekend as well!

Love, Amberly
