Share your World..

1}
I used to be the girl that/who__________but I'm not that girl anymore because___________________.

I used to be the girl who changed her haircolor every few weeks but I'm not that girl anymore because I realized how stupid it is to go from dark to light to red to blonde. My ends hated me. I grew up. I have now had the same color for over a year. Occasionaly I will spice up my red with some blonde but I do it safely. I learned that being a stylist doesn't mean you have to change your hair like your clothes.
2} Describe yourself in three words.
Bubbily. Loving. Assertive.

3} I struggle with...
My weight.
I have wanted to lose 50 lbs for over 2 years now. It's one of those things that I've needed to do but just can't find the motivation. Finally I have decided to make a change! I'm sore but excited!

4} If I closed my eyes right now ______________.
I would fall asleep. Thats how tired I am!

5} I wish I could live without __________
but it just isn't happening.
Dr. Pepper.

Linking up with Jessica !

Maybe I am lucky but I really can't think of a terrible present. I'm sure I have gotten one but I guess it wasn't so bad because I can't remember it!

This is hard for me.. I guess it is a toss up between Christmas Vacation (my Dads absolute favorite, we watch it on Thanksgiving every year and at least 3 more times during the season!) and White Christmas (I love the old Christmas movies. And who doesn't love Bing Crosby?)

My Mimi's divinity! Hands down the best thing ever! My teeth hurt just thinking about it.

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas.

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this. (Isaiah 9:6-7)

Share your World Thursday

After being out of the blogging world for over a week I am back! I tried to come back Monday but some of my co-workers thought it would be funny to hack my blog when I left it up. We have a Salon War with facebooks and I am usually the one who hacks everyone else. So the Manic Monday post was pay back. Although I must say they were a lot nicer than they could have been! :)

1. What is the best compliment you've ever received?

That I have a beautiful smile. I know its vein but I love my teeth! After growing up with a "Cute little gap" in between my two front teeth, I am so thankful for the magic of braces! I wear my retainers Every.Single.Night. Even after all these years.

Dont hate on the Olan Mills pic.

A smile worth every penny! :)
2. SEAT BELT?
Always.Never.Sometimes.
Always. I have always had a thing for making sure everyone has their seat belts on. It became an obsession after my life long friend (more like a big brother) Mattie was killed in a single car accident from not wearing a seat belt. So everytime I get in the car I say to myself "Buckle up for Mattie".
3. Fill in the blank.
You know your comfortable with your spouse when you _____________.
Pee with the door open.
4. Someone gives you a gift wrapped in a 6 inch square box, what is it?
mmm sounds like a perfume box!
5. You are at Chic-fil-a, what do you order?
#5 (8 pack chicken nuggets) with a large Dr. Pepper!

Share your world Thursday..

1.
Do you buy cheap or expensive toliet paper?
Its pretty much in between. We use Angelsoft.

2. What are your top two pet peeves?
*When people don't call or show up for their hair appointments. Or show up 30 min or more late. Basically whenever someone doesn't care about my time.
*When people don't put things back where they go. Don't just throw something back in the vicinity of where it belongs and close the door or drawer and walk away. It takes more effort to ensure that it doesn't fall out  than it does to just simply put it in the right place.

3. What's the name of your best friend & tell us her best trait.
I have 3 best friends. I can't just pick one. They are all so special to me. They all have similar traits, which is what makes us get along so well I guess. Each one of them is kind, fun, loyal, all the things you want in a best friend. Probably the thing I love about each of them the most is their smile. The purest thing about a person to me, is their smile. And I mean a real, genuine smile. I can spot a fake smile a mile away.

4. Tell us one of your quirks? What's different about you?
It takes a lot to hurt my feelings. But I can cry at the drop of a hat. I find myself sobbing at tv commercials, songs, radio commercials, cards, texts, conversations... I cry on Extreme Makeover Home Addition before they even tell you about the family. Oh and put one of the kids on the radio from a non profit hospital and I will cry for days.
5. List three of your favorite songs.
This is hard!
*Right Now*
Niki Manaj- Super Bass
Justin Bieber- One Less Lonely Girl
Lady Antebellum- Heart of the world
*All Time*
Dixie Chicks-Land Slide
Elvis- I can't help falling in love with you
Journey- Faithfully

Share your world Thursday..

On Wednesday.

1. If you could be on any TV show {reality or not}, what show would you be on?
I'm with Jessica on this one.. The Ellen Show. I absolutely love Ellen. She is so kind and generous. I've said this before but she sees the world in rainbow tinted glasses. She doesn't judge anyone and she is a truly kind hearted human being. }If I could only meet one celebrity it would be Ellen.

2. What is the best thing you have ever bought from a yard/garage sale?
My Drexel Heritage dresser. I bought it at an estate sale this summer. It was an ugly yellow and I refinished it and turned it into a china cabinet. I love it!

3. Do you still have friends whom you went to high school with?
I only went to a actual high school my freshman year. After that we moved to my current location and I home schooled. I don't really see any of the people that I went to high school with anymore. We've all got careers and spouses now. I do have one friend (Cat :) ) that lives in the same town I do. She went to college here and just never left. We are a lot better friends now than we were in high school. However thanks to facebook I can actually say I do keep in touch with a lot of them!

4. Do you have any scars? If so, share the stories behind them.
*I have one on my left thumb. When I was in middle school my sister and I had to be at home by ourselves until my parents got home from work. One day I was making ramen noodles on the stove and it started to boil over. I rushed to pick it up and the steam hit my face and startled me. I dropped the pot and the boiling water went all over my hand and body. I had superficial burns on my stomach but third degree on my hand.
* I have one in my belly button and one small one about 3 inches below my belly button. When I was 17 my appendix ruptured and I had to have it removed.
*I have a large splotchy looking scar on my left thigh. I got stung by a jelly fish when I was little and we put sand on it. It actually looks like sand on my leg. I'm not sure why it scared like that.
*I have one on my left leg from staph infection. When I was 18 I worked at an outlet store. I had an ingrown hair in my knee and being the picker I am, I decided to pick at it with a pin from a security censor. Needless to say within 20 min my leg swelled about 5x its usual size. I had given myself staph. For about 2 years after that anytime I had a cut (even getting my eye brows waxed) or open sore I would get staph if I didn't put neosporin on it immediately. Its gross but you have no idea how common it is.
Those are just the interesting ones! LOL I'm accident prone..

5. If you had to eat one thing/meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Chicken fajita nachos. I love Mexican food.

6. What's your most embarrassing moment?
I have too many to say one was the actual most embarrassing. Something that happened last summer comes to mind. At my salon we have to park in the lower parking lot and walk up a flight of stairs. Well it was summer and I was wearing a dress. I started running up the stairs and tripped. (It takes talent to trip up stairs let me tell you) I used my hands to stop my fall and cut them to pieces, my forehead hit the stairs and cut open and my dress flew up and I showed a group on people at the bottom of the stairs my behind. I had just gotten out of the car so I had the whole panties/scrunched on one side/wedgie thing going on too so that just made it extra fun. Ha.

Linking up with Jessica again.

Inside my world.
1. Did you have a favorite blanket or toy as a kid? If so, do you still have it??
For my fourth birthday my sweet Uncle Craiger (who was I think only 16 at the time) saved his money and bought me a Barbie Corvette. It was my favorite toy as a kid. I loved it! We don't still have it but I will never forget it.
2. I love it when my _______ does ________.
My dog Maggie-her circle dance!
}Maggie dances in circles when she is excited, wants food, wants you to throw her ball, wants attention- basically she dances in circles constantly. Its her signature move and I love it.{
3. You're at a ball park. You have $5 in your pocket. You order...
A Hebrew National ball park hotdog! Little bit of ketchup and a little mustard and its awesome!

4. If you could have any celebrities 'voice' as the voice on your GPS, who would it be?
I'm going to have to go with Jessica on this one and say Ellen. Just hearing her voice makes me laugh. She is one of my favorite people in the world. She is truly an amazing human being. If I couldn't have Ellen it would be Keith Urban. I love that man. }Remind me to tell you about the time that I was 1 foot away from him.. :)

5. Are you a messy sleeper or a neat sleeper?
I guess it depends on my dreams. I sleep on my stomach in the "Captain Morgan" position. I flip from one side to the other. If I am having bad dreams I tend to move around a lot. And steal the covers.

Linking up with Jessica for ...

Inside my world.
1. What style do you tend to lean towards when decorating your home?
I am constantly changing things in my house. The walls have been painted 3 times in 3 years in my living room. Patrick and I both are earth tone fans. We have a lot of browns and deep reds. I love brown and blue together. I am a antique-aholic! I yard sale almost every weekend and have a house full of unique pieces. I love to re-do furniture. My style is definitely very shabby chic. My husband might say that I am a little obsessed with antique furniture.. But who wants his opinion? ;)

2. I never leave the house without..
I have an essential bag that lives in whatever purse I am carrying everyday. Its silver and cute and has everything a girl needs to survive the day. Lipstick (red, pink and nude), lip liner, lip gloss, chap stick, mascara, eye drops, tweezers, a nail file and tampons.

3. I love to pamper myself by...
My job is to pamper women and make them feel even more beautiful than they already are, so finding time to pamper myself is hard. However my friend Stacey owns a nail salon next door to my salon and she takes care of me! I get my nails done and a pedi every 3 weeks (give or take a few). My nails are like my combs when I am doing hair, I can't function without them. I stand on my feet all day so getting a pedicure is the best thing in the world!

Share your world Thursday

So I know that I already blogged today but.. I wanted link up with my blogger friend @ Stiletto's and a Fishing Pole and  participate in the first...

1. Go back five years, would you have pictured your life as it is now or would it have been different?  If so, how or why?
Five years ago I was 19 and just moving in with my soon to be husband in our first one bedroom apartment. My parents had just moved to North Carolina and I was truly on my own. Truthfully I would probably have pictured myself here and then some. Although I have accomplished a lot. I finally finished hair school and got my business and clientele up and running, I married my perfect soul mate, I traveled to London and Paris (Bucket List) and we bought our first home. There are a few things I wish I could add to the list of accomplishments but its all in Gods Plan.

2. In a perfect world with no attachments, my career would be...
exactly what is it. I could always use more clients (who needs sleep?) but other than that I'm happy. If I could have a second dream job it would be a tornado chaser!!!! I'm crazy, I know.

3. Name one thing you do {or don't do} that the world may think strange of you.
I have to shave my legs daily. I can not stand the feeling of jeans on prickly skin or even worse the way it feels against your sheets when you sleep. Sometimes if it was cold or a long day I'll do it again right before bed.
