What's YOUR love story?

In the spirit of Valentines Day I decided to link up with a fellow blogger Becky.
1. How long have you and your significant other been together?
We just celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary and our 6 year dating anniversary on 2/10.
2. How did you meet? {What's your "love" story?}
I was 18, he was 26. We were working across from each other at an outlet mall close to where we live. He used to sit outside my store on a bench during his breaks and read. (Although in 6 years I have never seen him touch a book or a magazine.) One day he stopped in my store to see if I wanted anything from the food court to drink (I always worked alone). I said yes and we instantly started talking. Later that night we talked on the phone for hours. Trying to learn everything about each other. We decided that we would go on our first date the next night (2/10/06). We planned to leave from the outlet mall once we both got off work, however when my dad found out how old he was and that I wasn't coming home before my date so he could meet my parents he pitched a fit. So we drove to my house so Patrick could pass the test. He did.. and the rest is history. 6 years later, I still get butterflies when he smiles at me. We laugh all the time. I fall more in love with him every day and I am so glad he is mine.

Our "1 month" dating anniversary.
3. If married, how long have you been married?
We have been married 3 years and 4 days. :)

4. If you are married, where did you get married at? Big or small wedding?  Small. We got married at our friends house. On their front porch (yes in the middle of feb). We tried to do things as cost efficient as possible. So we invited only 40 people. Our immediate family and a very few of our closest friends. It was perfect.

5. Do you have any nick-names that you call one another? Do share! For him:
Baby
Angel boy
& Cookie (He is always warm.. like a cookie ha)
For me:
Baby
6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey.
His laugh.
His personality. He is almost always happy. He doesn't let things get to him.. like I do.
The fact that I know he loves me.
7. Tell us how he proposed?
We were laying on the couch watching tv and I was almost asleep. He got off the couch and I got irritated because he can never sit still. So while I am glaring at him he asks me to marry him. LOL
8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberries, champagne, and rose petals?
Flowers and a card guy.
9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch?
Pop a movie in and relax on the couch.
10. Tell us one thing you'd like to do with your significant one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere?
We both want to travel to Greece. Mostly the Greek Islands but really just all of it.
11. Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentine's Day.
For the second year in a row I am taking my cousin Stacy to the movies. She is my Valentine date this year. Patrick usually has to work.
12. Are you asking for anything this Valentine's day?
No, we just got back from a cruise a few days ago. We celebrated our Anniversary and Valentines Day for 7 days. :)
13. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love.
I'm no expert. But I think something that works for us is listening to each other. If you don't listen to each other you're missing out on so much in each others lives.
14.  Show us a picture of what love means to you.
Can you tell he loves me? :)

Happy Valentines Day.

What I'm loving Wednesday..

Decided to link up with Jamie for what I'm loving Wednesday. There are so many things I'm loving right now. These are a few of my favorite things!

My husband Patrick. I love how much he makes me smile.
My family. I love our close relationship.
Hair. Everything about it. I love my job. I don't even like referring to it as a job. Its a passion. Something I absolutely could not live without!
Leaves in  the fall. I just love fall in general. Everything about it. There is no place more beautiful in the fall than the great North Georgia Mountains. Especially Dahlonega.
Coffee. Enough said.
Making fun things out of pottery. There is a little place on the square in Dahlonega called Mug Me. You get to pick out the piece you want to paint, bring a bottle of your favorite wine and spend some time with your friends. I love this!
I love a glass (or bottle) of wine. My favorite is Barefoot Moscato.
My Ugg boots. I love to wear them with dresses, jeans, sweats.. whatever!
Paris, France. Paris a un morceau de mon coeur. (Paris has a piece of my heart) I love this picture, it was taken on my cell phone!
Re-doing antique furniture into fun shabby chic pieces.
I love SEC football Go Dawgs and Roll Tide!!
I love pinterest.
Books. I love to read. There is nothing in the world like reading a good book.
This quote. I love Audrey.
Thats all for now!

Marry me, each and every day...

Emily and Jeremy's wedding day has now come and gone. The day was nothing short of beautiful. All week long we just knew it was going to rain. The night before the wedding it poured! But only a small amount of sprinkles on the actual wedding day.  We started off the day by shutting down the salon. (benefit of the bride and 2 of her bridesmaids being stylists in the same salon)
Naomi (right) and I (left) lacing up the corset on Emily's gown.

When we were finished we went over to the R-Ranch in Dahlonega for pictures, the ceremony and reception.  (I didn't have time to take any pictures during the wedding and we haven't gotten but a few of the professional ones back yet)
The view from the ceremony.

The Arbour.. (Tiffany's husband Brad built this)
Praying..
The sand..
Newlyweds walking out to "I believe in a thing called love" by the darkness.
Just one of the many flower arrangements made by the MOB's life long friend Terie Cox and her daughter Audrey. They did such a fantastic job.
Some of the tables from the reception. The entire wedding was beautifully decorated by Tiffany's amazing mom Sandra. She did such a fabulous job. I've never seen a more beautiful wedding.

The new song by Train filled the beautiful reception as the Bride and Groom has their first dance as husband and wife.

After dinner it was time to dance! Although the day after the wedding I definitely felt as though I dropped it too low and backed it up too far! LOL

The cupid shuffle
Three of the seven bridesmaids (and three of my very best friends). Nay, Tiff and Chelsea.

Mine and Nays husbands (Dusty and Patrick) had to get in on the action too.. wait for it..
Lord have mercy.

Me smiling at one of my favorite people in the world.
Tiff had to break out her cowgirl boots.
One of the professional pictures. Emily was the most beautiful bride I have ever seen. And her photographer is simply amazing.

Love, Amberly
