Share your World Thursday

Linking up with Jessica !

Maybe I am lucky but I really can't think of a terrible present. I'm sure I have gotten one but I guess it wasn't so bad because I can't remember it!

This is hard for me.. I guess it is a toss up between Christmas Vacation (my Dads absolute favorite, we watch it on Thanksgiving every year and at least 3 more times during the season!) and White Christmas (I love the old Christmas movies. And who doesn't love Bing Crosby?)

My Mimi's divinity! Hands down the best thing ever! My teeth hurt just thinking about it.

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas.

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this. (Isaiah 9:6-7)

Share your World Thursday

After being out of the blogging world for over a week I am back! I tried to come back Monday but some of my co-workers thought it would be funny to hack my blog when I left it up. We have a Salon War with facebooks and I am usually the one who hacks everyone else. So the Manic Monday post was pay back. Although I must say they were a lot nicer than they could have been! :)

1. What is the best compliment you've ever received?

That I have a beautiful smile. I know its vein but I love my teeth! After growing up with a "Cute little gap" in between my two front teeth, I am so thankful for the magic of braces! I wear my retainers Every.Single.Night. Even after all these years.

Dont hate on the Olan Mills pic.

A smile worth every penny! :)
2. SEAT BELT?
Always.Never.Sometimes.
Always. I have always had a thing for making sure everyone has their seat belts on. It became an obsession after my life long friend (more like a big brother) Mattie was killed in a single car accident from not wearing a seat belt. So everytime I get in the car I say to myself "Buckle up for Mattie".
3. Fill in the blank.
You know your comfortable with your spouse when you _____________.
Pee with the door open.
4. Someone gives you a gift wrapped in a 6 inch square box, what is it?
mmm sounds like a perfume box!
5. You are at Chic-fil-a, what do you order?
#5 (8 pack chicken nuggets) with a large Dr. Pepper!

Manic Monday

Whoa.. I am back! The holidays are a little ............... So Amberly left her blog up at work and Molly and Tiffany decided to help her out and do her post for her!
Dear Diary,
Today I got to work at 10AM and had one of my sorority girls. They are so happy to be done with finals. Then I got to cut a guy's hair all off!! That was sooooooo fun!!! Then one of my favorite clients, who is currently in remission from cancer, came in and we can finally color her hair again! And then I read a free book on my Kindle called "Baby, I'm Yours" and ate peanut M&M's with Molly and Jocelyn. And then I vaccumed and then I left work.

We don't know what happened after that because we haven't talked to her since she left work :)
WE LOVE YOU!!

Goodreads

So does anyone else (besides me) have an obsession with reading? I have a problem. I own too many books for my book shelf and have hundreds on my nook and kindle. I am always looking for a "Good Read". I absolutely hate reading the back cover of a book. It gives too much away. I would much rather have someone recommend a book to me. Recently my blogger friend Sarah over at Honey, Sugah, Dahlin' suggested that I join goodreads. Let me tell you.. I am in love! It is ridiculous! All you do is rate every book you've ever read (NBD it only took me two hours!) and it comes up with hundreds of suggestions for you!

It even gives you suggestions based on books you have selected that you want to read.

Needless to say... my day off tomorrow will be filled with some "Good Reads".

Y'all go join!

Manic Monday

I am absolutely sick to my stomach today. There is nothing I can even try to complain about when something like this has happened so close to home. There are complete MONSTERS in this world. I sincerely hope they catch this guy and that he rots in hell.

Click Picture for Video.

May Jesus and the Angels in Heaven surround this precious, innocent girl with love. I know my friend Mattie will be one of them.

SEC Championship Game

This Saturday I was lucky enough to grab some cheap tickets to the SEC Championship game! My friend (&co-worker) Abbie and I got all dressed in our Red and Black and headed down the to Georgia Dome Saturday afternoon.} Who says two girls can't go to a football game alone? We got downtown quickly and found a great parking place for cheap! Then we made our walk towards the Dome. The streets were covered with LSU and UGA fans. Everyone was tailgating.

We got a couple cokes and made our way to our seats (from which we never moved!) The energy in the Dome was incredible. Luckily we were in a primarily Georgia fan section. Although I feel like most of the LSU fans happened to be behind us. As the pre-game festivities began the fans started piling in. It got LOUD! Here is a video of the Redcoat Marching Band getting the UGA fans pumped up!

I'm not going to do a recap of the game because I'm sure you either watched it or heard about it. However I will say it was a great first half! Oh and I have never been to a game with some many time clock malfunctions.
Excitement was thick in the air!

Yes we took a picture of our tickets.. we were proud!

National Anthem played by both LSU & UGA's bands.

TD GA! }Little did we know it would be the one and only{

One crazy fan put this up after UGA scored. They quickly took it down and retreated when LSU took the lead in the 3rd quarter: but not with out a scene. Before leaving they decided it would be funny to pour water all over the things (purses, coats, ect..) of the women sitting next to them. The women had apparently gone to the restroom and left their things in their seats. They were fellow UGA fans and apparently had no prior altercation with the couple who did this. They didn't get away without a fight. A good ole' boy saw the whole thing and felt the need to chase the couple down the stairs. When he finally reached them he gave the male culprit and huge shove and sent him flying down the rest of the stairs. (Which was extremely scary seeing as how we were in the nosebleed section) SACURITY (yes I know I misspelled it, I was saying it in my best Bon Qui Qui voice) never caught up with the guy and it was a shame. Some people give UGA a bad name.

Even though we lost I am still proud to be a Georgia Bulldog!

Share your world Thursday..

1.
Do you buy cheap or expensive toliet paper?
Its pretty much in between. We use Angelsoft.

2. What are your top two pet peeves?
*When people don't call or show up for their hair appointments. Or show up 30 min or more late. Basically whenever someone doesn't care about my time.
*When people don't put things back where they go. Don't just throw something back in the vicinity of where it belongs and close the door or drawer and walk away. It takes more effort to ensure that it doesn't fall out  than it does to just simply put it in the right place.

3. What's the name of your best friend & tell us her best trait.
I have 3 best friends. I can't just pick one. They are all so special to me. They all have similar traits, which is what makes us get along so well I guess. Each one of them is kind, fun, loyal, all the things you want in a best friend. Probably the thing I love about each of them the most is their smile. The purest thing about a person to me, is their smile. And I mean a real, genuine smile. I can spot a fake smile a mile away.

4. Tell us one of your quirks? What's different about you?
It takes a lot to hurt my feelings. But I can cry at the drop of a hat. I find myself sobbing at tv commercials, songs, radio commercials, cards, texts, conversations... I cry on Extreme Makeover Home Addition before they even tell you about the family. Oh and put one of the kids on the radio from a non profit hospital and I will cry for days.
5. List three of your favorite songs.
This is hard!
*Right Now*
Niki Manaj- Super Bass
Justin Bieber- One Less Lonely Girl
Lady Antebellum- Heart of the world
*All Time*
Dixie Chicks-Land Slide
Elvis- I can't help falling in love with you
Journey- Faithfully

What I'm loving Wednesday..

one.
I am loving that tomorrow is the first day of December. I love Christmas time!
two.
I am loving that I am off today with Patrick. We stayed up late last night watching Dexter, slept til noon and have pretty much done a whole lotta nothing today.
three.
I am loving that I finally bought season 3 of Sons of Anarchy. We finished season two back in July and I held off this long on buying it because I was being cheap. Well it finally paid off because I found it on Black Friday for $7! :)
four.
I am loving that a Dunkin Donuts opened today in my town! I definitely went to get a coffee and some munchkins this afternoon.
five.
I am loving that the Nugget (local paper) came today. I look forward to reading it every week. (Yes I am aware how old that makes me sound) I love the arrests, crime beat and local yard sales! Here are a few of the highlights from this weeks crime beat: "A woman on Hwy 19 said someone came into her house and kicked her dog's kennel while she was at work. She suspects the culprit did it because her dog would not stop barking.", "An employee at BB&T said someone drew hearts on the parking signs in the bank lot.", " A man on Post White Rd said someone stole his trash can. His trash was found a quarter mile down the road." Man I live in a scary town!
six.
I am loving that it isn't snowing today. It's pretty but I can only handle it when it really snows. I hate when it melts and causes trouble (like it did yesterday, thank God the ground was warm enough to not let it freeze).

What are you loving today?

Manic Monday..

For once I really don't have too many things to complain about today. I got to sleep in, found out all of my clients are on other days this week so I got a 5th day off in a row! :)

one.
I heard a very loud noise this morning. It was the wind knocking over our trash can. By the time I woke up a few hours later, said wind had blown trash all over the yard. So I had to chase it down in the rain and got my freshly curled hair soaking wet.

two.
Since I was going to have another day off I decided I would wash all the laundry we have been neglecting. Didn't happen. Little brother (15 and annoyingly cute) texts me and begs me to bust him from school. Whats a sister to do? So we watched movies and played video games all afternoon. I must say, I've gotten preeeeeeeeetty good at MW3!

three.
I have still not put my Christmas tree up. I usually have it up before Thanksgiving and it just hasn't happened yet!

Well that's all I've got this Monday!

25 Facts about me.

Linking up with Erin, from Living in Yellow with 25 facts about yourself. Let's see if I can actually come up with 25 things to tell you...

one.
I met my husband while working at an outlet mall. I worked in a little kitchen store called Le Creuset and he worked at Reebok. Our stores were directly across the way from each other. We met randomly, talked all night on the phone, went on our first date and he's been stuck with me ever since. I seriously consider myself the luckiest girl in the world.

two.
I have the most random taste in music ever. My iPod consists of Elvis, The Beatles, Journey, REO Speedwagon, basically anything from the 80's, all country old and new }I still love the Dixie Chicks{, sappy love songs from Celine Dion, 90's music }especially the boy bands. I definitely went to the NKTOBSB tour this summer and screamed like a 13 year old girl.{, I like some hard rock bands like Disturbed, Papa Roach and Avenged Sevenfold, I have a serious love for Justin Bieber. }Not in a creepy attraction way although I do think he is cute. I just love his story. I love how talented he is and how down to earth and kind hearted he still is.{, I love rap. Almost any kind of rap. I especially love Eminem. I sometimes think that if I were at his concert and he got sick, I could replace him on stage and no one would know the difference. }I definitely rap like a white girl{ I can seriously listen to almost anything.

three.
I love to read. Probably more than the average person. I am always reading something and I can't see a movie until I read the book. I can read fast. I have been known to read an entire 700 page book in a day.

four.
I have extremely small nostrils. Weird I know. All of my friends make fun of me and ask me how I can breathe. For the record: I breathe just fine. However I can not pick my nose.

five.
I swallow my gum. Almost every time. I don't actually meant to, its a habit. I know that one day it probably will come back to haunt me..

six.
I've known I wanted to do hair since I was a little girl. My Aunt Stephanie is a hair stylist. She made it seem so cool and fun. Ever since then I knew that is what I wanted to do. I'm so glad that I chose a career that doesn't even feel like work to me. Its more than a job, its a passion.

seven.
I check my facebook at least 50 times a day. I am aware that it is borderline obsessive.

eight.
I absolutely love Ellen. I could not go a day without watching her show. She is so uplifting and fun. She never judges and is such a kind person. Anyone who reads my blog regularly knows this but for those of you who don't... now you do.

nine.
I am obsessed with yard sales. I wait for the paper to arrive every Wednesday and skip directly to the classifieds to see where the sales will be. I mostly look for antiques and usually have good luck finding them.

ten.
I have two favorite football teams. I love UGA because that is what I was raised liking. If you live in Georgia you have to like either UGA or GT so I chose the dawgs at a young age. I also love BAMA. Its sort of a contradiction I know. You see, what happened was my husband is from Alabama. Almost everyone in his family loves UA. I was forced to watch Bama play for so long that eventually I started to like it. I don't exactly remember when I officially became a fan but its been years. I used to keep it quiet so I wouldn't start arguments. I decided that because they don't play each other but every 4 years that its ok. However, when they do play each other I will be saying "Go Dawgs Go!" }Recently the whole world seems to have an opinion about my having two teams. Well I would like to personally tell you to delete me if you don't like to see me status's and to KMA! I don't tell you what you should and shouldn't do so don't give me your extremely unwanted opinion.{

eleven.
I am a Great Aunt. And I don't mean great as in fantastic, although I am. ;) Patrick and I have three (soon to be four) great nieces and 2 great nephews. I do not let them call me their Great Aunt. Although their parents think its funny to tease me.
Bryant.
Kaleigh, Kaitlyn, Kymbil and Brayden.
Patrick and I with Kaitlyn.

twelve.
I wear flip flops year round. I hate real shoes. My feet need to be free!

thirteen.
I wear my retainers every. single. night. I had braces twice and refuse to every wear them again. These teeth are stayin straight! I have skipped a few nights here and there along the way and every time I swear I see a gap between my two front teeth. So I guess I'll be wearing my retainers forever!

fourteen.
I love to play games. Any kind of game. Card games, board games even video games on occasion.

fifteen.
I have blue eyes but sometimes they turn grey or green. It seems to depend on what I'm wearing.

sixteen.
I still own a bottle of Tommy Girl from middle school. Still smells great! Now if I could find a bottle of Tommy Freedom my perfume blast from the past would be complete!

seventeen.
I collect movies. It started when DVDs first came out. I kept all of my DVDs in my room and made everyone always return them. Then it got worse when I worked at Blockbuster for 3 years. I seriously have at least 500 movies. I try my absolute hardest to keep them categorized and alphabetized. However no one cares about my movie OCD-ness so they rarely stay that way.

eighteen.
I am obsessed with tornados. All storms really. Instead of hiding in the basement I am usually outside in the hail trying to take pictures of the lightening. I have even slept on the porch during a storm before just because they relax me. I don't really know when the obsession started but it has been a long time. I have a dream of one day chasing tornados. I am aware that once I got up close to one I would probably be scared for life. Every time there is a tornado watch I turn on the movie Twister. I don't care if there are multiple warnings in a week, every single time I watch it. Once Patrick and I were both at work when the sirens went off. I rushed across the street to his work to be with him and instead of hiding in the back with all of the employees and customers he and I both stood outside in the hail. The sky was green, the wind was blowing fast and debris was flying everywhere. We were both fascinated.

nineteen.
I have no problem reading a book more than once (or dozens of times).

twenty.
I love friends. I own every season and at least once (sometimes more) a year we start at season one and go all the way to ten!

twenty one.
I can't drink alcohol. Not for lack of trying, (For anyone reading this that believes having a drink will send you to hell lets just agree to disagree) every time I have even one drink I get sick. It's not from over drinking, it just doesn't sit well on my stomach. Every once and while I can have a margarita with dinner and not get sick. Its a gamble so I rarely chance it. I can however drink wine. My favorite is Barefoot Moscato.

twenty two.
I pick at everything. Bumps, ingrown hairs, scabs, whatever. I should have been a dermatologist. My poor husband is usually the victim in this problem.. bless his heart.

twenty three.
I love traveling. Going anywhere (even if it is just over state lines) gives me a kid like thrill. I have been fortunate enough to make several big trips over the last few years and I am already dreaming of the next.

Patrick and I lounging on the back of a cruise ship somewhere in the Bahamas.
 The water was so blue!
Dennis Quaid's star on Hollywood Blvd. (Dang that man is sexy!)
In front of the Hollywood sign. Which btw is extremely hard to find. They do not want anyone to get near it so there is no easy way to find it.
Ferris wheel on the Santa Monica Pier

On the Ferris Wheel. This is the only picture of all of us smiling. Inside we were freaking out. I love heights but I hate ferris wheels!
On Top of the Empire State Building. Every time I visit NYC it amazes me.
At St. Pancras International Train Station on our way to Paris!
It is breathtaking in person. This was taken on my cell phone.
My favorite place in all of Paris, The Sacre Coeur Cathedral. Its on a hill that over looks all of Paris. The view is spectacular.

Aimee and I in our Hotel room in Paris!
Sissy and I at Buckingham Palace.
On the open top bus touring London!

twenty four.
I am deathly afraid of frogs. I hate them. HATE! If one comes anywhere near me I will pass out. I once had a frog stalk my doorstep every night for a month. I almost maced it.
twenty five.
I can't go to sleep with out sprinkling dusting silk on my sheets. My mom bought me my first bottle when I was a teenager and now its an addiction. For the longest time it was really hard to find. I finally found a little shop near here that carries it. If you have never used it you should get some. Its by lady primrose and my favorite scent is Tryst.
A twinkle of shimmer added to finely crushed chamomile and marigold flowers, blended with silk and plant extracts, create a naturally absorbent powder that softens, soothes and protects while delicately perfuming the skin. A sheer and silky finishing touch for you or your linens. The sparkling band reflects the sparkle of Tryst.
